Falter Ego consists of Ian on lead vocals and guitar, Gary on guitar, Jim on bass and Peter on drums and backing vocals. We formed nearly three years ago and have been gigging around Dublin for the last year or so. Our influences are diverse and many. They include some of the following: Biffy Clyro, Rage Against the Machine, Funeral for a Friend, System of a Down, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Nirvana, The Melvins, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age and Mastodon. In 2005 Falter Ego recorded a three track demo in 147 Studios. The tracks chosen were Attention Me, Brain Maze and Nutjob. We have written many more songs since this demo, a lot of which are heavier. We feel that these new songs better represent where we are as a band now and will soon go into the studio to record a new demo.
